Creek Play is a project designed to elevate the public realm of Dubai Creek Harbour ahead of its official opening. This landmark initiative by Emaar Properties prioritises pedestrian centric design, featuring human scaled streets, recreational zones, engaging active public spaces, and walkable, exploratory environments- positioning it as Dubai’s newest urban hotspot.
At its core lies a 350 metre play scape promenade, the longest of its kind globally. Boasting striking visual appeal and diverse activity offerings, the project aims to drive high public footfall, establish a defining urban landmark that fosters vibrant social dynamics, and stimulate commercial vitality. Beyond place making, it delivers tangible commercial benefits: enhanced property values, improved rental yields, and accelerated sales turnover.
HongYang undertook shop drawings design, fabrication and site installation of all play equipment and facilities. During manufacturing in Shanghai, China, to address the climatic challenges at the project site-including extreme desert heat, intense UV radiation and large diurnal temperature variations-we have specially adopted a customized core structural material: high density fluoropolymer board. Engineered for desert conditions, it maintains controllable shrinkage, expansion and deformation, ensuring long term structural stability.
Custom formulated coatings deliver exceptional adhesion and UV resistance. Vibrant coloured finishes retain their original hue for 5 8 years with minimal fading.
For child safe play requirements, ropes and all contact surfaces adopt food grade materials. Fully non toxic even upon biting, they offer complete peace of mind for parents.
