Kunming Pan-Asia Demonstration Zone serves as the core social hub for residents. Following the integrated industry-city planning principle, it connects riverside corridors, landscape lounges, sun lawns, woodland pavilions, pedestrian trails and overhead shared areas to form a multi-layered, inhabitable and open landscape system.
The children’s playground adopts age-based zoning for kids, integrating play facilities naturally within community greenery.The whole playground is paved with EPDM impact-absorbing safety surfacing. All components have rounded corners to eliminate sharp edges. A full-view supervision zone is designed for convenient parental monitoring. Native non-toxic, thorn-free and low-allergen plants form soft green buffers around the playground to reduce disturbance. Dominated by non-motorised play equipment, the space encourages children to play and socialise amid nature, delivering a safe, playful child-friendly environment adapted to Kunming’s climate.
Hongyang is responsible for shop drawings design, fabrication, installation.
This project uses our self-developed custom sports flooring. Elastic and free of harmful substances, it is applied to outdoor interactive play equipment for the first time in the industry.
